As a congregation with roots that go back to the earliest days of the Methodist movement, we are inspired and challenged by our unique place in the Methodist story.
The young members of the Holy Club combined a passion for social justice with a desire to grow closer to God and to others. In our vision to be 'Open to God, Open to All and Open to You', we affirm and take up the same calling as those early Methodists: to meet the needs of God's people and his world, in our own time and in our own way.
Our ongoing Mission and Heritage initiative is helping us to find out more about how previous Methodists worshipped and served here; the celebrations they enjoyed and the setbacks and discouragement they sometimes encountered. This is inspiring us to look forward in faith, thankful for all those who have gone before us.
Many thousands of visitors come to Oxford each year as Methodist pilgrims. We are always delighted when they include Wesley Memorial in their tour. If you would like to re-connect with your Methodist roots or are simply interested in finding out more, we invite you to visit.
