House fellowship groups

House Fellowship Groups

Many of us meet regularly during the week in house groups, for worship, prayer, discussion and fellowship. Most house groups are loosely based on geographical areas of Oxford and they meet at various times of the day and the week.

If you are interested in joining a house group please contact us by asking one of the Church Stewards. New members are always welcome at any of the groups. More information about particular groups is below.

Central Oxford Group

We meet fortnightly on Wednesday evenings in members' homes. We use a range of resources to aid our discussions as we study the bible and issues relating to our faith.

Headington Group

The Headington Group meets fortnightly, on Thursday evenings at 8 pm, in members' homes. The study and discussion programme is varied: bible study, a book, or a topic of interest.

North Oxford Monday Morning Group

We meet at 10.30 am fortnightly in people's homes. The group is an ecumenical one, with Methodists, members of the Church of England, Roman Catholics, and Baptists. We offer a varied programme of speakers leading us through Bible study to current affairs.

Tuesday Afternoon Fellowship

This group meets at the church fortnightly for a short act of worship, and to listen to invited speakers. There are outings in the summer, and a Christmas party.

Cumnor Fellowship

The Cumnor Fellowship meets fortnightly, on Tuesday evenings at 8 pm regularly during term. A varied programme includes visiting speakers and study themes introduced by our own members. We encourage lively discussion and interchange of ideas within a relaxed, secure and sensitive environment. Each evening starts with devotions and ends in social mode with coffee, tea and cakes.

North Hinksey Fellowship Group

The North Hinksey Fellowship Group meets fortnightly in term time, usually on a Tuesday at 8pm, in members' homes in the Botley area. We meet for Bible study, for a discussion of a particular book or tape, to listen to a speaker, or simply for a time of fellowship together enjoying music or poetry. We would be happy to welcome any new members who would like to join us and share evenings of friendship and fellowship.

Open End

The Open End group meets fortnightly on Monday evenings. As the name suggests, the age range is wide, from 20+ to 80+. We meet in members' homes on alternate Mondays for Bible study, prayer, discussion and friendship. Each term we base our discussions around the Bible or another topical book. A central theme in our discussions, our thinking and our prayers is social responsibility and our practical response to God's word in our daily lives. Meetings are always lively and thought-provoking!
