Cruse Bereavement Care
Oxford Cruse is a branch of the national charity for the grieving. It has been offering support, advice, education and counselling for young and old from offices at Wesley Mem for more than 20 years.
There is a dedicated office with telephone support line and access to further rooms for one-to-one counselling, training sessions and meetings of friendship groups. Some 30-35 volunteers and clients `of all beliefs and none' are welcomed to the site every week and their views are important to the success of the Open Doors project.
The office co-ordinator expressed appreciation for the excellent location in the city centre and looks forward to the benefits of improved disabled access and fresh reception area as envisaged by the project. A stair lift to the upstairs offices would also help.
